It’s the 21st century. The U.S. is gradually drifting away from Europe, while Asia is inexorably drawing closer. Korea is coming! K-Pop is coming! Kimchi is coming! And Kim is coming, too—with his first solo show.

The adventures of Ill-Young Kim—who is traveling through Germany to explore new depths—are fresh off the press and authentic. Light-years away from his home planet “Korea,” Kim ventures into galaxies that no human has ever experienced on stage before. He draws on the hair-raising experiences he has every day as a German with an Asian appearance. Along the way, this born-and-bred Cologne native is mistaken for the North Korean dictator. Chaos breaks out at a Chinese restaurant. And Kim loves to eat dogs anyway.

With ease and charm, Ill-Young Kim presents his spicy take on things, debunking many a prejudice along the way.

Ill-Young Kim is an actor (including “Tatort,” “Die Friseuse,” “St. Pauli Nacht,” and “Ninja Assassin”), a host, and a true-blue Cologne native. His parents are from South Korea. In the ’90s, Kim hosted the show “Electronic Beats” on VIVA Zwei and VIVA. He was also active as a club music producer and DJ.

Since early 2010, Ill-Young Kim has also enjoyed success as a stand-up comedian.
