Sound and text, vividness and atmosphere: this combination won Argentinian composer Cecilia Arditto Delsoglio the National Theater's composition prize for Albert Camus' story "The Stranger" four years ago. Shortly afterwards, the composer began working with director Annette Müller - and the finely calligraphed score of her chamber opera was ready in time for New Year's Eve 2023.
On the occasion of the premiere on June 30, 2024, the Musiksalon would now like to know everything: How did the composer grow up? What were her first musical influences? How did she arrive at her unusual musical language? Why does one compose not only for violin or flute, but also for ventilator and typewriter? In a relaxed salon atmosphere, we chat with Cecilia Arditto, listen to her favorite classical compositions and some excerpts from "Musique concrète" for second-hand objects, light and sound - and immerse ourselves in her highly poetic cosmos.
