To kick things off, we are hosting a lecture by Jean Louis Schlim, a renowned expert on the House of Bavaria, on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at 5:30 pm. Under the title "In the Shadow of Power - King Otto I of Bavaria", he will shed light on the life of King Otto I of Bavaria, who was long overshadowed by his brother Ludwig II and whose reign was overshadowed by mental illness.

Jean Louis Schlim reconstructs a sensitive and differentiated picture of Otto - beyond common perceptions and with a special focus on his personal side.

The event will take place in the historical ambience of Schloss Fürstenried and will be followed by an opportunity for stimulating discussions.
