When a woman looks out of the window and wonders if it's high enough - and yet stays, cooks, cleans and laughs, then she carries a story within her. These stories are confided to friends and told to daughters when they are old enough. But not to anyone else, because no one else would understand them. The women have come from far away to a place where they know nothing - except their husband. And this man becomes everything for them.

Merve Kayikci and Dorothea Schroeder have spoken to many such women in Germany. Their faded dreams and their grown hopes live with us in this country. Their stories have been turned into a station theater piece that invites us all to really see and understand these mothers, neighbors and fellow human beings - and to learn their names.

There are no parking spaces available. The nearest subway stations are Hbf or Theresienwiese.

There are outdoor walkways between the venues; the play is not barrier-free due to steps and thresholds.

Content notes / trigger warnings: Violence against women is addressed. The production touches on the topics of discrimination against migrant women, patriarchy and loneliness.

Sensory cues: Flashing lights and loud sirens are used.
