Mockumentaries are documentary films or series in which the world depicted and the characters are exaggerated versions of reality. Improvisational theater and mockumentaries have a long and eventful history together. In fact, a free improvisational style fits the tone of this form perfectly. Over the years, improv greats like Eugene Levy, Amy Poehler and Steve Carell have used their training to create hilarious effects in mockumentary films and television shows.

In this eight-week course with Markus Rohr, we will explore how to create a complete world based on inspiration from the audience and bring it to the stage. We will work out which improvisation skills are needed and tinker with them together.
