MUT-TOUR 2025: On the road together against depression - with exercise.
The MUT-TOUR 2025 starts in Bochum on May 24. After 3.5 months, 4,100 kilometers, 15 stages and numerous public campaigns and press interviews, the last teams will arrive in Rostock on September 6, 2025.
With the motto "Self-help on the move", this year's MUT-TOUR focuses on activity, exchange and self-efficacy. Because on the tour, people will be laughing, sweating, talking and encouraging each other and themselves. This is how self-help can be experienced on the MUT-TOUR. It often strengthens the participants far beyond the tour and at the same time shows
out how valuable open discussions about mental health can be for everyone.
Exchange and public relations work
Information stands, music, speeches and a ride-along campaign on Bremen's market square
For our annual motto "The first step is the bravest - open offers provide support", we have put together a varied program for our stop in Brmeen:
- 10 am - 1 pm Information stands: with Bremer Werkgemeinschaft (on open offers, day centers and Nachtwerk), Netzwerk Selbsthilfe, Unabhängige Fürsprache Bremen and Mut fördern e.V. (MUT-ATLAS, MUT-TOUR and MUT-GRUPPE Bremen).
- 10-11.30 a.m. Speeches - and in between live music by Bremen jazz saxophonist Wolfgang Gurlit:
- Ms. Sahhanim Görgü-Philipp (Vice-President of the Bremen Parliament)
- Dr. Kirsten Kappert-Gonther (Member of the German Bundestag - from 10.-10.30 a.m.)
- Mr. Sebastian Burger (organizer MUT-TOUR) together with participants of the third tandem team "Bremen-Kiel" starting there
- Mr. Niels Kohlrausch (from "The Senator for Health, Women and Consumer Protection", Department 24 Psychiatry and Addiction)
- Moderation: Ms. Christa Hegmann (Bremer Werkgemeinschaft)
- 11.30 a.m. Start of the ride to Ritterhude (15 or 30 km)
Under the direction of the ADFC Bremen, interested citizens with or without personal or family experience of mental illness can join in with their own roadworthy two or three-wheeler:- Small loop (back to the market square led by Bremer Werk Gemeinschaft): 15 km, i.e. approx. 7.5 km together with the large loop:
- Big round (there and back to the market place led Bärbel Knaack, tour leader of the ADFC Bremen).
The ride-along campaign is free of charge, the ride is leisurely, and non-athletic people should also (be able to) come along. We therefore expect
- approx. 1.30 p.m. return arrival of the small ride on the market square
- approx. 3.30 p.m. return arrival of the large carpooling campaign at the market square
The Bremen Action Day is kindly supported by the Dr. Heines Foundation and the SV Werder Bremen Foundation.
