Inka Meyer has also inherited a lot from her grandmother: in addition to sparkling eyes and sparkling wit, she unfortunately also has an immune system that tends to be a pacifist in the fight against illness. For half her life, the cabaret artist has been hurtling like a comet through the sun and healthcare system: hitchhiking through the practice.
That's right: our fate is often in our genes. If you don't have children, your children won't have children either. What can you do? Life originates in a cell and sometimes ends in one. Is it even possible to escape your own family tree? Yes! "Because if you don't believe in miracles, you're not a realist," is Meyer's determined credo!
And so the Meerschaumgeborene, baptized with North Sea water, sets off on an adventurous expedition to find her family's roots, which, in addition to Friesland, has an exciting range of migration stories. With the Udo Jürgens hit "Ich war noch niemals in Stettin" on her lips, she inquisitively travels to Poland for the first time in her life - more precisely to the former German Pomerania. In the small village of Jasenitz, she begins a search for her great-grandparents' house that loses all control and makes a dialog translation app indispensable: Inka Meyer is thus an attraction for the villagers - and the locals for Inka Meyer.
What exactly she finds at the end of her journey through the former Pomerania will of course not be revealed in advance. Just this much: her cabaret show is like a surgical procedure, an "incavention", which will improve the physical and mental well-being of everyone watching. Because if you want to be healthy, you have to laugh! And the first item in her humorous first-aid kit is: "If you have nothing to laugh about, then laugh at me!"
