„Japan-Gegenwart“ Solo-Klavierkonzert mit literarischen Exkursen

As part of an intercultural concert series with pianist Aleksandar Filić, guests can look forward to an event at the Stadtmuseum on Japan Day, which will be inspired by the close and long-standing connection between Japan and Düsseldorf.

Japanese composers of the 20th and 21st centuries will be presented, such as Yojiro Minami, who lives in Düsseldorf, Toru Takemitsu and Joe Hisaishi and his film music for the Ghibli animated films.

The music program will be complemented by readings of modern Japanese poetry by authors such as Kôichi Kihara, Hiromi Ito and Yoko Tawada. The reader will be Iris Fukuzawa.
