AUSGEBUCHT: Japanische Teeverkostung im kleinen Kreis

In the organizer's words:

Nagasaki-cha: Tea tasting in small circle with tea grower Masatoshi Matsuo.

Masatoshi Matsuo from the ChaYou tea garden comes to Munich from Nagasaki to offer a small group tasting of his aromatic and umami-filled green teas. In the small circle he also tells how he found the access to his very special way of tea cultivation.

The ChaYou tea garden, where Mr. Matsuo has worked for nearly fifty years, is located in the heart of Nagasaki Prefecture, three hundred meters above sea level overlooking Omura Bay. The entire tea operation - from cultivation to production to distribution - is managed in-house.

ChaYou means tea friend:in - and the Matsuo family lives up to this claim time and again. Thanks to the consistently high quality of its teas, ChaYou has won numerous awards, including the Emperor's Cup, the Minister of Agriculture's Award, and the Nihon Cha Award. For Masatoshi Matsuo, however, this is no reason to rest on one's laurels: "As soon as you receive an award, the good achievements are already a thing of the past. The most important thing for us is to continue to satisfy our customers with first-class teas."

Masatoshi Matsuo's First Flush Green Tea of this year will be tasted.

The event is a cooperation with T4G (Tea for Germany). The Japanese initiative has set itself the goal of making the fine world of taste of Japanese tea known in Germany.

Max. 10 persons per tea tasting.
