The Japan Day Düsseldorf/NRW 2026 will take place on May 23, 2026. On this day, Düsseldorf will once again be transformed into the venue for one of the largest Japanese cultural and meeting festivals in Europe. We are looking forward to an impressive day full of Japanese art, culture and culinary delights on the Rhine.

Japan Day Düsseldorf 2026 offers a varied cultural program: experience calligraphy and tea ceremonies in interactive workshops, visit the samurai army camp, marvel at martial arts demonstrations and discover Japanese traditions in the cultural tents. Pop culture fans can look forward to the cosplay competition with a trip to Japan as the main prize and the manga drawing competition. On the main stage at Burgplatz there will be J-Pop, J-Rock and a big evening concert. Click here for the complete program.
