ENDLING
Auguste, a snail researcher, has withdrawn completely and lives in an apartment that increasingly resembles a cabinet of curiosities. Her only companion is not an ordinary snail, but an endling, the last of its kind, and when Auguste's only remaining human contact with the outside world, her pen pal, suddenly stops writing, she can hardly sleep a wink. Only the appearance of her teenage niece shakes her out of her lethargy. Together, the odd couple forge a plan and set off in search of their missing pen pal. Not without Augusta's most precious possession, of course - her snail.
