Jay Ottaway & The Lost Boys

Jay Ottaway has a very close connection to Europe. The American singer-songwriter and guitarist from Boston has been performing here for more than 20 years. Since 2019, he has been performing with his quartet, Jay Ottaway and The Lost Boys, with whom he also recorded his last two albums.

His music and songs follow in the tradition of great American songwriters and bands like Dylan and The Band, Neil Young, and Tom Petty, yet they have their own distinctive sound. In short: If you’re into West Coast blues and rock ’n’ roll, lots of guitars, and harmonies, you’ve come to the right place.

The Lost Boys have performed at many festivals, including Woodstock Forever, Street Life (Leverkusen), and the Grammo Music Festival (Leichlingen), as well as at many renowned clubs such as the Bielefeld Jazz Club, Speiche’s Rock & Blues Bar (Berlin), and Music Star (Norderstedt).

The quartet features Guido Lehmann, an outstanding country-rock guitarist and lap-steel player who has already toured throughout Europe with the bands Hillbilly Deluxe and The Swamptones. The rhythm section consists of drummer Klaus Marner and bassist Henrik Herzmann, both seasoned veterans of the European music scene.
