In the organizer's words:

Two cities, one stage: under the title "Meet the Scenes", IG Jazz Stuttgart e.V. and IG Jazz Rhein-Neckar e.V. present a special cooperation project that brings together musicians from both jazz scenes.

A band was put together especially for this exclusive project, which performs with enthusiasm, energy and deep respect for traditional jazz - all in the spirit of the "straight ahead" sound.

Stuttgart singer Cemre Yilmaz and pianist Moritz Langmaier meet the Mannheim rhythm section with Johannes Schädlich on bass and Julius Steyer on drums. Together they create an evening full of swing, groove and spontaneous musical encounters - fresh, direct and rousing.

Cemre Yilmaz (vocals)
Singer Cemre Yilmaz discovered her passion for jazz in her hometown of Ankara. Her studies took her to Graz in Austria in 2013 and later to Stuttgart, where she successfully completed her master's degree in jazz singing in 2022. After completing her master's degree in jazz and pop singing, she established herself in the regional music scene as a versatile and expressive singer. She leads her own projects and can regularly be seen on stage with various formations.

Moritz Langmaier (piano)
Moritz Langmaier is a pianist and composer living in Stuttgart. As a sought-after pianist, he is active in numerous projects that have already taken him to renowned festivals and on concert tours through Europe and Asia. He has performed on stage with international jazz greats such as Bob Mintzer, Jim Black and Jochen Rückert. In addition to his artistic activities, he is also a committed teacher.

Johannes Schaedlich (bass)
Johannes Schaedlich is a German double bass player who was trained in both classical orchestral music and jazz. He established himself as a distinguished jazz musician as early as the beginning of the 1980s and worked with internationally renowned artists such as Lee Konitz, Enrico Pieranunzi and Adam Nussbaum. Numerous concert tours and festival appearances have taken him all over Europe as well as to Russia, Asia and Africa, including on behalf of the Goethe-Institut. Schaedlich also works as a lecturer and leads several jazz projects, including the "Real Jazz Trio", with whom he released the album Views in 2021.

Julius Steyer (drums)
Julius Steyer has been studying jazz drums at the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts since 2020. His current projects include Frigo (Justin Zitt), Achromat (Max Schroth) and Dark/Light. In July 2025 he recorded his debut album as a bandleader, which will be released in 2026. Since his return to Heidelberg, he has been active in the local jazz scene, including at the Jazzhaus Jam Session and the Jazz am Neckarstrand series.
