In the organizer's words:
Our "Jazz on a Summer's Day" picnic, four open-air concerts on four Saturdays at the music pavilion between the Schauspielhaus and Schloss Jägerhof.
Since 1978, the afternoons in the park have been an invitation to everyone to enjoy culture and diverse musical cultures together.
With Free admission and the request to simply bring your own drinks, a small picnic and blankets or chairs, music enthusiasts come together at the music pavilion.
Two bands play every Saturday, the program on 09.08.

The perfect soundtrack for a summer afternoon in the park: four musical friends meet to improvise with relish: ruggedly elegant, ironically melancholic, arctic-caribbean, in intoxicating loneliness and lyrical chaos. A meeting of strong musical personalities, contemporary German jazz at its best.

Three experienced artists, all multi-instrumentalists and storytellers, combine their musical power to interpret the often dark, quirky and poetic songs of Tom Waits in their very own way. Everything fits together here, a multicultural adventure that is by turns beautiful, funny, disturbing and poignant.
