Fuchsthone Orchestra
The Fuchsthone Orchestra stands for the future of the large-scale jazz format. With an expanded line-up including violin, vocals and electronics, it shows how unexpected and visionary a large jazz ensemble can sound. Led by Christina Fuchs and Caroline Thon, the 22-piece ensemble forms a dynamic sound cosmos between brute tutti passages and Maria Schneider-style wind voicings, moments of silence and collective improvisations of chamber music sub-units. At the Telekom Forum, the orchestra will present its second album, a collaboration with the brilliant young vibraphonist Evi Filippou, which will be released in 2026. A brilliant departure and a "Right now!" in times of local and global political upheaval.
