Marlies Debacker

Marlies Debacker is a tireless pioneer. The Belgian pianist moves confidently between jazz, improvisation and new music and has gained recognition in both worlds with her unmistakable musical language. Her role as founder of the renowned Trio Abstrakt, appearances at festivals such as the Jazzfest Berlin, Acht Brücken Köln and the Biennale di Venezia as well as numerous awards and teaching assignments speak for themselves. As a solo artist, she explores the sound spectrum of the grand piano in depth with sophisticated keyboard playing and extended techniques. An invitation to a unique, unrepeatable journey - and an experience of rare intensity on the large Fazioli grand piano in the Old Church of the Collegium Leoninum.

She is considered one of the best-kept secrets of the international music scene: with a unique counterpoint between voice and guitar, Lau Noah creates lyrical miniatures of harmonic richness - new, surprising, accessible. Born in Catalonia and living in New York, Noah inspires outstanding artists worldwide with her virtuoso, touching art. For her debut album A Dos, she collaborated with great voices such as Cécile McLorin Salvant and Chris Thile. After acclaimed performances at the NPR Tiny Desk Concert and on tour with Jacob Collier, among others, Lau Noah is now coming to Bonn for an exclusive solo concert. An intimate performance that feels like a warm shower for the soul.
