Arjay is a contemporary jazz group led by saxophonist and composer Will Rees-Jones that combines improvisation, deep groove and global sound components. After relocating from the UK, Will formed the band to develop original music that is as much about travel and place as it is about musical genres. The group's sound sits at the intersection of contemporary jazz, West African rhythms and grooves inspired by the UK EDM scene - with influences from artists such as Kokoroko, Rob Luft, Nubiyan Twist and Aaron Parks. Arjay's music is rich in atmosphere and rhythmic depth, combining strong melodies with witty improvisation.

The debut EP reflects Will Rees-Jones' travel experiences through South America - quiet mornings, dusty vineyards and wide open plains - with a warm, organic sound. At its core, Arjay is about the musical dialog between genres, cultures and people. The result is a groovy sound, emotionally moving and effortlessly catchy.
