Living cemetery

Mozart on the wild bee boulevard is the highlight of NABU Hamburg's "Living Cemetery" 2026 campaign day. We show how valuable cemeteries are as habitats for insects, birds, amphibians and small mammals. As places of tranquillity, they offer nature retreats that are lacking elsewhere.
On the wild bee boulevard of the Ohlsdorf cemetery, the largest park cemetery in the world, we will walk through the flowering meadows with binoculars and magnifying glasses and see which insects we can find in areas designed to be close to nature.

Chamber music with the Feminale Ensemble

The highlight of the day is the chamber music evening at Forum Ohlsdorf with the Feminale Ensemble from the Hamburg University of Music and Drama. In addition to works by Mozart's contemporaries, the evening will also feature the composition In the midst of the bluish haze, commissioned by the Mozart-Gesellschaft Hamburg from the young Hamburg composer Lucie Spedicato. The chamber music evening is a cooperation project with the Feminale Hamburg.
