In her artistic practice, Jeewi Lee works with site-specific installations, sculptures, picture series and interventions. In her works, she often uses simple, seemingly worthless materials and artifacts into which time, memory and transience have inscribed themselves as traces. These traces form the starting point for her artistic research. In her work, scientific material analyses merge with aspects of Taoist philosophy and individual mythology to create poetic, meditative visual worlds. The winner of the GASAG Art Prize 2026 will realize a site-specific presentation at the Berlinische Galerie. The exhibition will take place as part of Berlin Art Week 2026.
