When Jesse Ahern takes the stage, he looks like a normal guy - albeit one with a Gretsch guitar strapped around his body and an anchor tattoo under his right eye. As he rocks his set, it becomes clear that Jesse can easily get whole new crowds screaming his choruses in his face. Ahern comes from humble beginnings in Quincy, Massachusetts. His tunes hold clenched fists up to the working class. Others showcase the raw, open heart of a man who has devoted himself to love, experienced loss, and therefore appreciates what he has at home. Still others reveal the gentle, protective arms of a father who misses his children when he travels the world. On tour, Ahern stands in front of a huge backdrop with the words ROOTS ROCK REBELL. Three words that reveal the truth about his music and about the man himself. That's why he chose these words as the title for his new album, which was produced by Ted Hutt (Dropkick Murphys, Gaslight Anthem) and released in mid-2023 on PIAS/Dummy Luck Music.

Ahern has spent the last four years traveling the world, sharing the stage with the Dropkick Murphys, Rancid, Chuck Ragan, Frank Turner and Jaime Wyatt. With the release of Roots Rock Rebel, Ahern will be traveling many more miles around the globe and turning even more attendees into future longtime fans.
