In the organizer's words:

Write your favorite music, find your favorite musicians, give it a name and there you have your favorite band! That's exactly what drummer Jo Beyer did. Do what you like - that's the motto of this band and that's exactly what it sounds like. Uncompromising fun with intricately hit compositions, played by some of the finest improvisers in contemporary jazz.

In November 2025, five tracks from Jo's rich collection were released in a completely new guise, recorded live during a tour of India at the Windmills Jazz Club in Bangalore. Jo Beyer has won various awards, including the Int. Getxo Jazz Competition Award 2017 and the European Burghausen Jazz Prize 2015. His quartet has existed since 2016.
