The Theaterschiff Heilbronn invites you to a special evening dedicated to the fascination of music and the stories behind the songs. Award-winning music journalist Joachim Hentschel (Rolling Stone, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Stuttgarter Zeitung), Music Journalist of the Year 2022, and host Florian Weller, initiator of the "Beatbooks" event series, will take the audience on a musical journey through time - from the wild punk days of the Sex Pistols to the successes of Taylor Swift.

In a relaxed atmosphere, they talk about Hentschel's exciting career and highlights - from encounters with greats such as David Bowie, Nick Cave, Lady Gaga and Prince to his books "Zu geil für diese Welt" and "Dann sind wir Helden". The former is a book about the pop culture of the 90s, while the latter sheds light on the pop cultural sound between the GDR and FRG. With humor, depth and a lot of passion, Joachim Hentschel talks about how music shapes our society and politics. Of course, selected vinyl treasures and legendary tracks will be played live.
