J.S. Bach's St. Matthew Passion, one of the most extraordinary and important creations in music history, will be presented by the Berlin Bach Academy under Heribert Breuer's direction in the Great Philharmonic Hall. The double-choir composition tells the Passion story with clear characters, scene changes and impressive choruses and arias. With the participation of the Vocalconsort Leipzig and the Berlin Girls' Choir, the performance under the musical direction of Heribert Breuer is emotionally moving and supported by a top-class quintet of soloists. The Berlin Bach Academy, active since 1991 with around 50 members, stands for high-quality concerts in a professional setting. The Vocalconsort Leipzig, founded in 1999, is a renowned chamber choir, while the Berlin Girls' Choir has been in existence since 1986 and has received numerous awards.
