Date Change: Unfortunately, the anniversary celebration must be postponed due to the forecasted extreme temperatures, as we cannot justify putting everyone’s health at risk. The new date is now Saturday, November 21, 2026.

For 30 years now, we at the Women’s Network for Peace e.V. have been working to promote peace, human rights, and social justice—and we’d like to celebrate this anniversary together with you! Under the title “On Their Shoulders—Foundations of Feminist Peace Work,” we want to create a space for memories, exchange, and collective reflection. For us, this milestone is more than just a look back: it is a political moment at a time when feminism, peace work, and democracy are coming under increasing pressure. As anti-feminist forces grow stronger and militaristic logics of power become increasingly dominant, democratic achievements are also being undermined.

The shoulders on which we stand—the shoulders of generations of women for peace and feminist activists—will be the focus of our anniversary celebration. We’ll take a look at the history of the FNF and the women’s peace movement in Germany, learn more about the peace work of women’s groups in Latin America, and discuss the challenges of feminist peace work yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
