At Dr. Hoch's Conservatory, the Junior Kicks and Junior Voices present a rousing concert program full of energy and musical diversity. Under the direction of Holger Fröhlich, the young musicians impressively demonstrate their skills and combine classic swing with modern jazz sounds to create a varied listening experience. With great enthusiasm, impressive precision and fresh musical ideas, they create a lively big band sound that inspires and surprises in equal measure. A concert that shows the whole spectrum of jazz and impressively demonstrates how much passion and quality there is in young Hessian jazz musicians.

The concert takes place in cooperation with the Jazz-Initiative Frankfurt e.V. and Dr. Hoch's Konservatorium.

The Landesjugendjazzorchester (LJJO) Hessen promotes the best young jazz talents in Hessen. Since its foundation, four formations have been created within the LJJO: the big bands Kicks & Sticks and Junior-Kicks as well as the vocal ensembles Kicks-Voices and Junior-Voices. For many members, their time in the LJJO Hessen lays the foundation for subsequent music studies. Numerous alumni, such as Finn Heine and Darius Blair from Frankfurt, are successful both as soloists and with well-known bands on the jazz scene.
