KAAK are in a bad mood, yet still in pretty good spirits. Because
if you admit to yourself that you’re annoyed, then
at least no one can give you a hard time about it—with
loud guitars and a passion for emo, post-hardcore, and
’90s rock.
The band from Hanover released their first album, *SCHREI DOCH*,
between late 2019 and late 2021 in the form of 13 singles,
12 music videos, and an LP. Now, after an
extended creative hiatus, the band is entering the second phase of its
career—with a new lineup, a breath of fresh air,
a slightly cynical smirk on their faces, and new
music in their repertoire.

PARTING GYFTS

A mix of glitter and tears—that’s Parting Gyfts. Kissed by melancholy,
Parting Gyfts paint a musical landscape with a driving dynamic and introspective
lyrics in a post-punk frenzy. Catchy, indie rock-influenced melodies round out the
sound.
Founded in Hanover in 2022, Parting Gyfts conquered their first live stages just one year later with their electrifying
stage presence. As early as their second performance in 2023, the band won
second place at the SIXPACK Band Contest in Hanover and has since played at
festivals such as Bruits de la Cave and Skate & Destroy. In their shows, Parting
Gyfts combine raw energy with a unique aesthetic—in true Bowie fashion, they deliberately
gender roles and clichés, a concept they also express visually through their stage outfits.
In 2025, Parting Gyfts celebrated the release of their long-awaited debut EP, “Past // Reflection.”
