With a program entitled "Les Goûts Réunis - French music through the ages", two outstanding musicians invite you on a journey into the sound world of the French Baroque.

The expression Les Goûts réunis - "the united tastes" - stands for a musical idea of the 17th and 18th centuries: the combination of different European styles into a new, common musical language. Composers such as Louis and François Couperin, Marin Marais, Jean-Marie Leclair and Jean-Féry Rebel developed music full of elegance, virtuoso lines and subtle affects. The program spans an arc from the early baroque sonata to the mature works of the French violin school.

Daniel Deuter (baroque violin) and Sabina Chukurova (harpsichord) - two internationally sought-after specialists in historical performance practice - will be performing.

Daniel Deuter - Baroque violin
Daniel Deuter received his training with Prof. Dr. Tibor Istvánffy and Geoffry Wharton and is one of the most distinguished baroque violinists of his generation. He has performed with conductors and ensembles such as Philippe Herreweghe, Jordi Savall, René Jacobs, the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin and the Freiburger Barockorchester and is a co-founder of the Batzdorfer Hofkapelle, which has been dedicated to the repertoire of the Dresden court orchestra for decades. In addition to his concert activities, he teaches baroque violin and leads international workshops for early music.

Sabina Chukurova - Harpsichord
Born in Dushanbe and living in Berlin for many years, the musician initially studied piano at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music before turning to early music and studying harpsichord at the Berlin University of the Arts. She performs as a soloist and chamber musician with various ensembles and was a finalist in the Westfield International Harpsichord Competition. In addition to her concert activities, she also works as a répétiteur and lecturer at the Berlin University of the Arts.

Together, the two artists bring the subtle timbres of French baroque music to life - sometimes elegant and dance-like, sometimes virtuosic and passionate.
