A cult film from the GDR that tells the touching love story between married Paul and single mother Paula. The film shows how the two find each other and fight for their happiness despite social obstacles and personal conflicts.
With its mixture of romance, tragedy and socially critical undertones, the film became one of the best-known and most popular works of DEFA cinema. The iconic songs by the Puhdys underscore the emotional depth of the story and make the film unforgettable to this day.
