In the organizer's words:
Jordi Savall is a legend of early music and meets the young members of the Karajan Academy in this concert. Together they unleash musical elemental forces - with Georg Philipp Telemann's Water Music: Ebb' und Fluth and the Fireworks Music by George Frideric Handel, which combines unrestrained splendor with elegance in a unique way. The concert opens with the orchestral suite to the opera Alceste, in which Jean-Baptiste Lully unfolds the entire expressive spectrum of the Baroque: from martial battle roars to graceful dances.
