Katarina Gryvul 'SPOMYN'

In the organizer's words:

The composer, violinist, music producer and founder of the Gryvul School, Katarina Gryvul (* 1993, Lviv), presents SPOMYN (Memory), a live performance that explores the fragile and fragmented nature of memory. Drawing on her classical training, Gryvul combines electronic and avant-garde approaches, working with voice, instruments and analog synthesis. She creates immersive listening experiences through spatially conceived sound.

SPOMYN unfolds in a series of sonic fragments characterized by distortion, loss and transformation. Starting with choral elements, Gryvul's compositions are transformed into brittle, distorted forms and layered with dense, low frequencies and shifting textures. The performance explores personal and collective memories shaped by histories of oppression, silence and the transmission of experiences across generations. Using sound, Gryvul explores how memory can be both an archive and a process of reconstruction - a constant breaking open and reshaping that creates identity and resists forgetting.

Lighting design: Michał Labijak.

This concert takes place as a double bill with a concert by Ihor Tsymbrovsky. We recommend purchasing a combined ticket for both concerts.
