Great Joy: The Queen Catherine Organ Is Complete! We’re celebrating the Queen’s arrival with a welcome festival, which Stiftskantor Kay Johannsen will open with two concerts featuring identical programs—since the beautiful, newly restored castle church offers seating for only 250 people. The globally successful company Rieger, based in Schwarzach, Austria, was happy to embrace the concept of modeling the new instrument after the historic Walcker organ from 1865 and took the utmost care in crafting the replica case and the 1,386 pipes. Hear for yourself the sounds that can now be conjured from the Voix Catherine, Silberglanz, and Sternenklang stops!
