The US formation around the charismatic Kennedy (composer & singer) and Ondre J Pivec (producer & keyboards - incidentally also in the band of Grammy award winner Gregory Porter!) is currently the hottest tip from New York City and is now coming to the Kultursommer. Her ultra-modern mix of funk, rock, RnB, soul and rap elements is extremely multi-faceted and harmonious - and a real revelation, especially live!

The fantastic soul diva Kennedy, who originally grew up in the countryside and with church music, has put together nine groundbreaking songs plus interludes and intros for the brand new Kennedy Administration album "Second Term" together with musical director Ondre J Pivec.

Pivec is at least one of THE most renowned jazz musicians & keyboardists of his generation. Together with the great talents of Chelton Grey (electric bass), Nathaniel Townsley (drums), Keyon Harrold, Josh Evans (trumpet), guitarist Dan Muniz and rapper Peter Gunz, this is a real star cast at work.

Sovereign grooves, funky basslines, cool horns and highly melodic keyboards form the basis for Kennedy's symphonic, crystal-clear and present voice - which sounds great in the range of Ella Fitzgerald, Sade and Anita Baker and arouses great emotions.
