On June 26 and 27, 2026, the Kessel Festival will hold its sixth edition, once again transforming the Cannstatter Wasen, the Reitstadion, and the Neckar River into a massive open-air venue filled with music, sports, creativity, and visions of the future. What began in 2019 with a successful premiere has long since evolved into one of Stuttgart’s most diverse major events.
With a total of seven stages, the festival offers a broad musical spectrum: from major German headliners to up-and-coming newcomers. In 2026, the Main Stage will once again bring some of the biggest names in the scene to Stuttgart, while the Culture Stage offers a platform for young talents to bring their own sound to the city.
But the Kessel Festival is much more than just music: Numerous sports and recreational clubs from Stuttgart and the surrounding area invite visitors to join in, showcase trending sports, and demonstrate just how diverse physical activity can be at the Kessel. In addition, the “Übermorgen Markt” attracts visitors with sustainable ideas, innovative projects, and interactive formats that invite you to give them a try. The weekend is rounded out by a lovingly curated children’s and family program that makes the festival an exciting experience for all generations.
