Ketekalles

Ketekalles were formed in Barcelona and stand for an explosive mixture of resistance and musical fusion. Their debut album "El Chaos" was released in 2020, followed by sold-out tours, international festival appearances and shared stages with influential acts from the alternative music scene. With roots in Chile, Venezuela, Argentina and Spain, the five musicians playfully cross genre boundaries and combine Catalan rumba with rock, punk, flamenco, hip-hop, soul, pop and trap. Their energetic sound is deliberately reminiscent of the early mestizo movement. Each band member brings their own experiences to the table - from political struggles in Latin America to Barcelona's bubbling underground. This is how Ketekalles became a safe space for collective expression. The lyrics deal with feminism, identity and social struggles, carried by punk energy, Latin American rhythms and the passion of Catalan rumba.
