AI sings of being human - of control, of loss, of automatic track correction, of silicon skin and of endless streams of data. In KI essen seele auf (ORPHEAI), Thomas Köck condenses highly topical developments into a series of apocalyptic near-future scenarios. He imagines an AI created in the image of humans - playful, curious, cruel and insatiable. Its hunger is for the most important raw material of surveillance capitalism: personal data.

Director and choreographer Katja Wachter and students from the second year of the bachelor's degree in drama use Köck's theater text to physically explore the boundary between man and machine. As avatars of the AI orpheai, the students become lonely mirror images of a world on a wire.
