Kiezschwoof - Tanzen für Generationen
In the organizer's words:
Sometimes it doesn’t take much to bring people together—just good music, an open space, and the desire to dance together.
When we atthe Gitti & Gerda projectofWassertor e.V.organized the first“Kiezschwoof—Dancing Across Generations”in April, we didn’t know what to expect. What we experienced moved us deeply: young and older people danced together, laughed, chatted, and shared an evening where age suddenly no longer mattered.
Especially in a time when generations often live side by side rather than with one another, such encounters are more important than ever. They break down prejudices, foster understanding, and show that there is much more that unites us than divides us. Music knows no age—and neither does a zest for life.
That’s why theKiezschwoofis back for a second round!
📅September 19
📍SO36, Kreuzberg
🎟️Admission is free—everyone is welcome!
Come on by—whether you’re 18 or 80. Bring your parents, grandparents, kids, neighbors, or friends. Let’s show together just how vibrant a neighborhood can be when generations come together—as equals and on the dance floor.
A hugethank you to SO36 for letting us host Kiezschwoof here again. Together, we’re creating a place where generations come together, prejudices fade away, and community is celebrated.
We look forward to seeing you! ❤️🕺💃
