Kinder tanzen – Peter Pan

In the organizer's words:
For over 100 years, Peter Pan, the boy who never grows up, has been playing his games. In this version of the Children's Ballet Company Berlin, Michael, John and Wendy experience exciting adventures on the island of Neverland together with Peter Pan, the "lost boys" and Tinkerbell. But beware of Captain Hook! ... A choreography by David Simic based on the stories by James Matthew Barrie with music by Edvard Grieg, Herman Severin Løvenskiold and Alexander Glasunow ... The students of the Kinder Ballett Kompanie Berlin dance.
For over a hundred years, Peter Pan, the boy who never grows up, has been one of the most famous characters in children's literature. Generations of children have spun the adventures that Peter, his girlfriend Wendy, the pirate captain Hook and the fairy Tinkerbell experience in their imaginations and dreamed of one day being able to roam the island of Neverland themselves.

David Simic, the director and choreographer of the Children's Ballet Company, has also been fascinated by "Peter Pan" ever since he experienced a ballet version of the material in his hometown of Belgrade as a child. Now he has developed a version for the big stage of the Deutsche Oper Berlin in which the children and young people themselves embody the heroes and villains of the fairy-tale adventure story.

Set to the music of Edvard Grieg's "Peer Gynt" and Alexander Glasunov's "Raymonda," "Children Dance: Peter Pan" features about 50 children and young people between the ages of 6 and 18 in a variety of roles. The costumes were designed by international award-winning costume designer Angelina Atlagic, who has worked for the Berlin State Ballet, the Bolshoi Theater, the Compania Nacional de Danza in Madrid and the Greek National Theater, among others.

The students of the Kinder Ballett Kompanie Berlin will dance. The performance is aimed at children and their parents. This content has been machine translated.
