Pan, the god of shepherds, doesn’t have it easy—after all, he’s only half god and half goat. That’s why he doesn’t live on Mount Olympus like the other gods, but in the forest with all the animals there. Apollo, the god of the arts and music, on the other hand, is admired by everyone and is a star on Mount Olympus. But both love to make music—Pan on his flute and Apollo on his harp. But who is the better musician? Pan wants to find out and challenges Apollo to a contest.

Martina Silvester received classical training in flute and piccolo. To deepen her interest and passion for other cultures and musical styles, she regularly pursues further education. In addition to her work as an orchestral and chamber musician, Martina Silvester conceives and presents concerts for children and works as an author.

Feodora Johanna Mandel completed her training at the conservatories in Würzburg and Munich, graduating with a master class diploma. As a harp soloist and chamber musician, she performs throughout Germany and with renowned orchestras and conductors. In addition to her concert activities, Feodora-Johanna Mandel organizes narrated concerts that combine music with personal storytelling.

Monthly Cultural Family Events at the Mohr Villa

Under the motto “Culture Picnic,” young and old alike can enjoy concerts, readings, and theater performances. After the event, there’s time to mingle with other families and chat over a picnic with snacks you’ve brought along. Please bring your own picnic and blankets.
