"Cinema sounds!" - under this motto, the Dresdner Bläserphilharmonie invites you to a concert evening full of emotion, passion and musical images. The program is dedicated to the unforgettable melodies of film history - from classics such as "Over the Rainbow" to energetic soundtracks such as "The Incredibles" or the adventurous sounds of "Pirates of the Caribbean".

Under the direction of Andrea Barizza, the orchestra unfolds the full diversity of symphonic wind music and lets familiar film scores shine in a new, colorful sound. Each piece tells its own story - sometimes rousing, sometimes touching, sometimes full of wit and tempo.

The varied program includes emotional ballads such as "You Raise Me Up" and "Moon River", spirited classics such as "Granada" as well as grand orchestral soundscapes such as the "Polar Express Suite" or Ennio Morricone's moving music from "The Mission". Musical legends such as George Gershwin ("Summertime") or Elton John and Hans Zimmer ("The Lion King") are also represented with iconic titles.
"Kino klingt!" is far more than just a concert - it is a musical homage to the great emotions of cinema. The film music speaks directly to the audience, awakens memories, touches and inspires - across all generations.

The audience has the opportunity to experience the expressive sound world of a symphonic wind orchestra in an accessible and popular genre. At the same time, the program is also an invitation to new participants: Anyone who plays a wind or percussion instrument - whether trumpet, clarinet, horn, percussion or other - is welcome to become part of the Dresdner Bläserphilharmonie.
