God exists. He lives in Brussels.
But unfortunately, that's only one side of the coin. For the Almighty (Benoît Poelvoorde) is not a wise ruler of the world, but a frustrated family man who shuffles around the apartment in his bathrobe and tyrannizes his wife (Yolande Moreau) and daughter Éa (Pili Groyne). Otherwise, God sits in front of his computer and takes a thieving delight in devising those stupid, sadistic commandments that lead to the questions that trouble mankind: Why does the toast always fall on the jam side, and why do you always catch the slowest queue at the checkout in the supermarket? As if that wasn't bad enough, he keeps blowing off steam by arranging natural disasters or wars. Éa no longer wants to stand by and hacks into God's computer and sends each person a text message with the date of their death. Some take this shocking message better than others and suddenly everyone is thinking about what they want to do with the time they have left. Éa sets off in a hurry to find six new apostles on earth and write a brand new will. But God is of the opinion that he still has a huge say in the midst of all the chaos...

About the film series:
The cinematic series "KINO, SNACK & TALK" was successfully launched back in September with delicacies to go with the film and a discussion moderated by curator Malinka Gdanietz (known from the "ROADTRIP INTERNATIONAL" cinema program in Neugraben).
The cinema event, which has been lovingly planned down to the last detail, will now be a permanent fixture in the HONIGFABRIK program and will take place once a month in future. It offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in a very special world for one evening, to get to know other countries, customs and cultures and to talk about what you have experienced afterwards with suitable background music. The films are intentionally shown in the original language with German subtitles so that you can immerse yourself in the respective scenery and native speakers without any knowledge of German can also take part. The multilingual program booklets are available in the Wilhelmsburg district. Films start at 8pm. Typical local snacks and drinks will be available on site. After the film, there will be an opportunity to chat in a relaxed atmosphere with selected background music.
