Kirsten Fuchs

Hooray! Kirsten Fuchs is coming back to the Waschhaus with her new program "Gibt das Leben Dir Zitronen, mach nichts draus". After her last book "Muttermund tut Wahrheit kund" was so successful that she had to come back for an additional show, we are very much looking forward to her new program and are sure that it will be great again.

Kirsten Fuchs, born in 1977 in Karl-Marx-Stadt, is a writer, reading stage author and columnist and lives in Berlin. She won the Open Mike literary competition in 2003, was a columnist for taz from 2003-2005 and has been a regular contributor to Das Magazin since 2007. Kirsten Fuchs has read at various reading stages, including "Erfolgsschriftsteller im Schacht", "O-Ton Ute" and "Chaussee der Enthusiasten". She has been reading at the Fuchs & Söhne reading stage since 2014. Her youth theater play "Tag Hicks oder fliegen für vier" was awarded the Brothers Grimm Prize of the State of Berlin in 2015. In 2016, she received the Comic Literature Prize. Kirsten Fuchs also won an award for her novel "Mädchenmeute" (Rowohlt Berlin) and received the 2016 Youth Literature Prize. Most recently, Voland & Quist published "Kaum macht man mal was falsch, ist das auch wieder nicht richtig" and the children's book "Der Miesepups" as well as the sequel "Der Miesepups hat was im Gesicht".
