Kitty, Daisy & Lewis: New album expected in late October 2026, eight shows in Germany
Presented by Rolling Stone & Kulturnews
When Kitty, Daisy and Lewis Durham, three siblings from the London borough of Kentish Town, make music, they take us on a journey into the past. With their style of swing, blues, country, bluegrass and rock'n'roll, the three of them and their band will be coming to Germany for eight concerts next October to provide unforgettable concert moments and present their new album live, for which fans have had to wait nine long years.
Since their self-titled debut in 2008, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis have skillfully shifted between the decades. Since their childhood, which was strongly influenced by music from their parents' home, their musical heroes have included Louis Armstrong, Nina Simone, Ray Charles, Sam Cooke and Rufus Thomas. The album, which - like all its successors - was recorded using equipment from that era, features numerous interpretations of their heroes' classics as well as the siblings' own productions. The siblings are all multi-instrumentalists and create a diverse sound in their music through the use of double bass, trombone, accordion and harmonica, among other instruments. The trio continued the international success of their debut with the works "Smoking In Heaven" (2011), "The Third" (2015) and the most recently released "Superscope" (2017). In recent years, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis have worked relentlessly and today stand for their unique and unmistakable retro style. In order to ensure that this style is recorded exactly as they imagine it, Lewis Durham, the brother in the middle of the three siblings, designed and built the Durham Sound Studio in London's Camden district, whose working tools sometimes seem to have been borrowed from a museum, but now have a great reputation due to the quality of the equipment purchased. Lews Durham has not only been producing his own albums in these premises since 2011, but also those of many other artists in search of a particularly warm retro sound. This is another reason why fans have had to be patient recently. Although Kitty, Daisy & Lewis have been on tour somewhere in the world almost every year, they have waited in vain for new music. Now the wait is to come to an end: after a nine-year break, their new, currently untitled album will be released in 2026. This will be followed by an extensive European tour, which will demonstrate their enormous work ethic: Kitty, Daisy & Lewis will play their eight German shows in Leipzig, Hamburg, Berlin, Nuremberg, Aschaffenburg, Cologne, Munich and Schorndorf without an off-day within eight days.
