Klanghölzer aus dem Auwald: Workshop für Kinder von 5-10

As part of the Leipzig Environment Days 2026 , we invite you to a very special workshop for children aged 5-10 years:

Sound wood 🪵 from the riparian forest

In 4 steps, the children will build tonewoods from fallen branches in the forest:

• Under guidance, the children saw the branches themselves, depending on their age
• Then they debark them with a children's carving knife - or carve a pattern into them.
• The wood is then smoothed with sandpaper
• ... and finally coated with organic linseed oil.
• After drying, we try out the tonewoods rhythmically! 🎶

The children experience that the woods sound different after each step and can give free rein to their creativity.

Age group: approx. 5-10 years

Maximum number of participants: 15 children
