Klangvolles Erleben – Konzert & Historisches aus der Kaulbachvilla

The Kaulbachvilla has been the seat of the Historische Kolleg since 1988. Originally built as the city residence of the painter Friedrich August von Kaulbach, the historicist-style building looks back on an eventful history - home to a painter prince, a student fraternity, a Nazi Gauleiter and friend of Hitler, the first American radio station and now the Historisches Kolleg.

We cordially invite you to trace this history in a special evening. In the exclusive concert program of the vocal ensemble VocArtists under the direction of Elisabeth Löffler, the pieces of music are specially adapted to the impressive rooms of the Kaulbachvilla. The program includes compositions by Josquin Desprez, Orazio Vecchi, Johannes Brahms, Franz Schubert and others.

The event combines top-class vocal music with a guided tour of the Kaulbachvilla by the Managing Director of the Historisches Kolleg, Dr. Carlos Alberto Haas. We also offer moderated discussion groups in the rooms.
