Klara, Kaffee, Katastrophen – Solo-Komödie mit Köpfchen

In the organizer's words:

Klara, coffee, disasters

Solo comedy with brains by Stefan Schroeder

Performed by: Nadine Kugler
Directed by: Stefan Schroeder

Klara builds works of art from coffee capsules. What others throw away, she preserves for eternity. From her hobby cellar, Klara sets an example with every coffee capsule that doesn't end up in the bin, tirelessly, day after day.

Alone with her coffee capsules and promenade blend George (so named because he looks like George Clooney), Klara gets into storytelling: She wallows in memories, of her ex-boyfriend, the coffee king gone astray, and of trips to untouched places. But she also dreams of a better future without plastic in the ocean and aluminum in the trash. Hadn't she always fought to make the world a better place? In the past, when people still took to the streets full of ideals and hopes?

Klara hasn't left the house for a long time, gets her groceries from the organic market and distrusts the neighbors who leave tons of used coffee capsules on her doorstep. People may find her eccentric, but is she perhaps just the last normal person?

Supported by the Droste-Hülshoff Foundation, Stefan Schroeder and Nadine Kugler have created a wonderfully quirky comedy with a twist.
