Everything’s getting faster—except the train, which is running late.
Ever applied for a spot in daycare? By the time you get it, your kids will be parents themselves.
Schools are falling apart, companies are fleeing, skilled workers are vanishing. Churches are emptying faster than you can down a beer.
Rent? Higher than Mount Everest. Energy so scarce that you’d have to use a wind turbine to blow your e-Smart away.
Ranting as a National Sport
“Get moving, be athletic!” they used to say. Today, complaining is the new trend sport. It doesn’t make you slimmer, but it does make you age faster.
Whining, complaining, spreading fear: AI is stealing jobs, the Chinese are coming! From now on, everyone has to eat with chopsticks.
And nature? Floods, fires, earthquakes—less would be more.
Lisa sings sadly:
“I wanted to walk over seven bridges—but none were to be seen by the river.”
And what’s Pit doing? Sitting in the park, slurping ice cream, marveling at butterflies. Seriously?

Or Mike: “We’re much better at being bad than others!” Our potholes are among the best in Europe! Kids can learn to swim in them when it rains.
And Birk? He talks about wonderful experiences, encounters, mutual help, and gratitude. Is he out of his mind? Or is he just too dumb to complain?
Even the state government is promoting it: “It’s beautiful here—but have you ever been to Baden-Württemberg?” They’ve even invited aliens! (“Mission LÄND here” on YouTube!)—because it’s so wonderful to be creative here.
And Alexis Zorbas exclaims with a laugh:
