A concert featuring Martin Brödemann (piano):
The concert focuses on piano works from the Romantic era, whose expression ranges “from dreamy elegance to heightened virtuosity” (RP, Aug. 2023). Concert pianist Martin Brödemann spans a wide range, from Franz Schubert’s heavenly passages, through Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy’s Songs Without Words and Edvard Grieg’s lyrical pieces, to Chopin’s profound and soulful piano works. Amid well-known pieces and catchy tunes, Brödemann skillfully adds highlights with his own compositions, created in the spirit of the Romantics, which blend seamlessly into the mood of the concert program.
