His last hour has come, but the 85-year-old poet Hermann Hesse still has no idea. Then his muse enters the poet's room. This timeless fantasy creature, who has visited, accompanied and inspired Hesse in many different guises throughout his life, now brings him the news that the hour of his death has arrived - and immediately begins to pack resolutely for his last journey. Much to the displeasure of the poet, who wants to complete his last poem and still has a secret score to settle. The pointed and humorous dialogues, the songs of the muse and the memorabilia in the poet's room spark a very special kind of life review in "Klingsor's Last Hour".
