René Haustein is an exuberant performer and singer, always walking the line between performance and ecstasy. Maximilian Jäckel is a young, virtuoso bassist from Dortmund. Marvin Blamberg is on drums. Jan Klare ties it all together and plays the saxophone.

Pop Planet
began in 2023 as an open music program for people with special needs, under the guidance and with the participation of experimental musician Andrémoda (aka Murphy) in the recreational department of Lebenshilfe Münster. After three years of intensive sound experimentation in the spirit of avant-garde genres such as free jazz, musique concrète, and krautrock, the band has since produced many exciting recordings and has grown into a nonet. Songs like “Akku Leer,” “Geisterschloß,” and “Urinprobealarm” depict the musicians’ often unconventional fantasy worlds and showcase a wide range of sonic expression. Their performances are dynamic, surprising, unpredictable, impulsive, and energetic, and subconsciously push the boundaries of what is audible.
