In the organizer's words:
What did parents and grandparents used to play with? On the upper floor of Haus Riensberg, children can go on a journey through the history of play from the Middle Ages to the present day. They learn that children used to have very few toys and that play was intended to prepare them for life. Girls and boys were fixed to their gender roles and political, social and cultural norms found their way into the children's room with the toys.
Children can browse, discover familiar and unfamiliar things and discuss them with friends or parents and grandparents. Information about the exhibits is available via the Mediaguide.
